Please use this resource to assist with building Hickory courses and pairing them between campuses and models.
Please note: Hickory courses that are 100% online must be restricted to include HKY campus students only. At the department's discretion, a permit called "CAMPUS" can be issued to override the student's assigned campus and allow them to register for the class.
Offering a stand alone Hickory course.
- Usage case: Building a standard Hickory course for Hickory or Boone students to enroll in.
- Course Build Steps
- Section number = 501 - 699
- Campus = HKY - Hickory
- Schedule type = Variable depending on the course being built.
- Part of Term = 1, 2, 3, 4

Offering an online Hickory course to be paired with an App State Online course.
- Usage case: 100% Online course will be offered as an App State Online course (section 301 - 349). Hickory course will be built with the same details to be taught concurrently. These courses are to be paired through cross listing.
- Course Build Steps in CBAS - Two sections will be built and both submitted via CBAS. Please indicate that you are submitting this type of course by leaving a note in the Comments field that reads: Paired with Section ___. Requests can also be added to be paired or grouped can be added to the Paired Course Form that is shared each term.
- For the section that will be used for App State Online students: 
- Section number = 301 - 349
- Campus = EX - Distance Ed
- Schedule type = WEB - 100% online
- Part of Term = EU, EU2, EU3, EUF
- For the section that will be reserved for Hickory students:
- Section number = 501 - 699
- Campus = HKY - Hickory
- Schedule Type = WEB - 100% online
- Part of Term = 1, 2, 3, 4
- Both courses will have unique course section notes. These will be auto populated by the Registrar’s Office.
- After the job is completed, any new course or edited course will need to have the notes manually added or adjusted via SZASECT.
Offering an online Hickory course to be paired with an online Boone course.
- Usage case: 100% Online course will be offered as a course for Boone students (section 101+). Hickory course will be built with the same details to be taught concurrently. These courses are to be paired through cross listing.
