Withdrawing from a Course

  • Individual course withdrawals are submitted through the Self-Service Registration feature and must be completed by the published deadline.
  • Undergraduate students can only withdraw from up to 16 credit hours for all terms, excluding summer sessions.

Late or Retroactive Withdrawal

  • Complete Withdrawal from the Current Term After the Deadline or From a Prior Term:
    Review the policy for Late or Retroactive Withdrawal due to extenuating circumstances if you miss the official withdrawal period.
  • Partial or Single Course Withdrawal after the Deadline for Non-Medical Reasons:
    Extenuating, late or retroactive course withdrawals, which are not medical in nature, require approval from the appropriate campus office utilizing the Request for Course Withdrawal Policy Exception form.
  • Partial or Single Course Withdrawal after the Deadline for Medical Reasons:
    Late or retroactive course withdrawals, which are Medical in nature, are reviewed and approved by the Office of Health Services.
