Unofficial Transcripts

An unofficial transcript does not bear the signature of the University Registrar. Unofficial transcripts can be requested via the student's AppalNet or Self-Service Banner account and will be delivered as an Adobe PDF.

  • There is no charge for unofficial transcripts
  • Unofficial transcript requests are processed at the time the request is received
  • Unofficial transcripts are not held for final grades
  • Unofficial transcripts are not held for awarded degrees

If You are a Current Student

You can request an electronic unofficial transcript via your AppalNet account. Electronic unofficial transcripts will be displayed as a PDF document after you complete the online transcript request page. If you do not know your AppalNet username or password, use the password manager.

To submit this request, follow these steps:

  1. Access your AppalNet account
  2. Click on the 'Student' tab, then the 'Student Records' link
  3. Click on the 'Transcript Request' link
  4. Read and follow the request pages to display a PDF of your unofficial electronic transcript - How to Order Unofficial Electronic Transcript.

If You are an Alumni or Former Student

You can request an electronic unofficial transcript via your Self-Service Banner account if you attended Fall 1986 - present. Electronic unofficial transcripts will be displayed as a PDF document after you complete the online transcript request page. If you do not know your Self-Service Banner username or password, use the User Name Look Up.

To submit this request, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the Direct Link to Web Self-Service / Banner page.
  2. Click on the 'Student' tab, then the 'Student Records' link
  3. Click on the 'Transcript Request' link
  4. Read and follow the request pages to display a PDF of your unofficial electronic transcript

Paper Unofficial Transcripts

Students may also request a paper copy of unofficial transcripts by filling out the Unofficial Transcript Request Form [PDF] which will have your transcript mailed via USPS. The request form must include a student signature, a digital signature will not be accepted. Transcript requests sent by e-mail or as scanned attachments will not be processed. Unofficial transcripts are ONLY available to the student.

User Name Look Up

You must have a User Name and Password to access your transcript. If you can't remember your User Name, use the "Need Help?" link on the Direct Link to Web Self-Service / Banner page. After you have confirmed your User Name and Password, you can login.

Password Manager

If you can't remember your password and have an active e-mail account, you must use the Password Manager to reset your password. If you have a "challenge question" you will be able to reset your password by correctly answering your challenge question and providing your date of birth and Social Security Number. Otherwise, you'll need to use the Alternate Authentication method to reset your password.

Use of Confidential Information

The User Name Look Up and Password Manager process requires confidential information to confirm your identity. The information requested, included Social Security Number (SSN), is used in a secure manner to confirm your account information and provide the necessary credentials for access to your records.

Can I use AppalNET to view my transcript?

AppalNET is only set up for currently enrolled students.

I'm having trouble printing my unofficial web transcript. What can I do?

You may want to print your unofficial web transcript from the Direct Link to Web Self-Service / Banner page rather than AppalNET. You may want to try a different printer or different browser if you're having trouble printing. If you continue to have problem printing your transcript, you may want to call the Technical Support at (828) 262-6266 during normal business hours.

I'm having trouble logging into Web Self-Service/Banner. Who can help me?

You may contact the Technical Support at (828) 262-6266 during normal business hours. If you have questions about your transcript, you may contact the Registrar's Office at (828) 262-2050 during normal business hours. Normal business hours for both areas are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
