Enrollment Verification

Students seeking an official verification of enrollment may obtain it through the National Student Clearinghouse by following the steps below. These verifications are available online 24/7 via AppalNet.

  1. Log into AppalNet with your Appalachian State University username and password
  2. Click on the 'Student' tab, then the 'Academic Records' menu link, then click on the 'National Student Clearinghouse' link. You will be routed to the National Student Clearinghouse website.
  3. Under the 'Obtain an enrollment certificate' bullet point, choose whether you would like verification of your current enrollment or all enrollment. After you have made your selection, click on the 'Obtain an enrollment certificate' link.
  4. Your web browser will prompt you to download a .pdf file. This PDF file is your official verification of enrollment and can be printed out or can be e-mailed to parents, insurance providers, or prospective employers.

NOTE: If the enrollment verification file does not include the current term it was most likely requested before that term's 'Census' date. To check when the 'Census' date is by term, check that term's Academic Calendar. Once the 'Census' date has passed, enrollment verifications ordered from the National Student Clearinghouse will contain information from the current term.
